M.O.M.S. (Maternal Out Comes Matter Shower) We are proud to team up with The Maternal Outcomes Matter Shower, a 2-year Community Baby Shower Tour that targets 50 cities, reaching up to 25,000 expectant mothers in communities with high maternal and morbidity rates. This unprecedented and groundbreaking initiative represents a partnership between The Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The tour is focused on reducing the unacceptably high maternal mortality and morbidity rates in the U.S., especially among Black and American Indian/Alaska Native moms. According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), Black women are three times and AI/AN women are two times more likely to die from pregnancy related causes than White women, and over 80% of those deaths are preventable. The M.O.M.S. Tour intentionally serves those at greatest risk: Black and AI/AN moms in urban and rural communities.
